We have booked to go to Lassi in July2004 and have a car for 7 dats we want to see the island but hate travelling on mountain roads with hairpin bends and steep drops. what are the roads like over there?
Just want to know about roads in Kefalonia - are they all steep drop, hairpin bends round the coast or is that just in the centre?
A unique island because nobody tries to rip you off.We found Lassi a superb place to stay and a good base to explore the island. We stayed at Hotel Lorenzo-absolutely brilliant.A fantastic pool, poolside bar, friendly, hardworking staff and in a beautiful setting.A car is worth hiring to see the island-a must is Myrtos beach,Drogarati cave,Mesalini lake and Fiskardo. There are lots of other lovely coves and beaches as well.Lassi has good restaurants for evening meals. We enjoyed all of them particularly Nefilinis-goodfood,good price, friendly staff.A fantastic Greek island.Go and enjoy it.
