We went to "La Mer" twice and enjoyed well prepared food and relatively fast service. As with most eateries, you get good nights and not-so-good nights! The portions were generous and we all loved the meatballs. If you're in the area try it. Mick, Pauline and Kids (17th - 31st July '03)
If you're going to any part of this lovely island you'll need a car. (Unless you're part mountain goat) We enjoyed every minute of our holiday and saw all the sights. A small car with air con. cost 310 euros for 10 days. Worth every cent. Lots of couples hired mopeds which are great if you're careful. Long trek to any beach, but lazy days by the pool were a lot easier. Local shops well stocked bar fresh meat. Can't wait to go back!

I don't think you can travel this far and not visit this amazing beach. The views en route are spectacular and the cool, salty water is perfect for a quick dip if you are a confident swimmer. The loos are vile. (Saw a lot of locals using rocks as wc!) Take drinks and food as prices in the beach bar are very dear.
p.s. This beach features in "that" film.

Very good accommodation. I agree with Antony..... the owners are not the most patient or understanding people on the island! Eat or drink by the pool at your peril. Spacious, clean, nice pool, shop 20mtrs away, at least 8 restaurants within 5 mins, a car is absolutely vital if you want to get around.
The best part of our holiday was the late night gatherings with fellow guests and the local wines and beers from the nearby shop.
Good place to stay, we'll be back.

We booked 4 days before departure so had a good deal. Our Rep was first class and everything about Olympic Holidays' service cannot be faulted. You can't blame the holiday company for poor flights or less than satisfactory local meals. My wife is on holiday with Olympic as I write and we all will be using them again. You could do a lot worse! Ignore any Old Grumpies comments and enjoy your hols!
