Lassi Resort - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

Hi all,
We've just returned from Lassi...it was so nice! As everybody has said it is the perfect location to visit the rest of the island! I would advise ppl not to hire scooters, because the Greeks on the road are loons! If you cant rent a car (like we couldnt) then your best option is to hire quads (dont need leicense)! Great fun and a lot safer then scooters (they at least have 4 wheels!) Failling that, you can get scooter cars (also dont need leisence)! Bit like Smart cars, but a lot smaller and more fun! There is only 1 place that we knew of that did these (they are very rear) and its a resturant called Nefeli's!
You can use nearly all the pools in Lassi, as far as we knew the only one you couldnt use was the Medditeranian! Malibu was our favourite! The beaches are fabulous and we recomend renting a boat to visit sucluded beaches! You can hire a motor boat from the Makras Gialos beach (long beach), its 25euro for an hr! we only did 2hrs, you need to do more, its well worth the money!
Excursions are a really good idea, beach bbq is really good fun! You go on a boat trip (glass bottom boat) and then go to a beach (usually the red beach) and you all play games and have the bbq! good fun! The trip to Ithaka is also worth a go, its a very beautifull island!
I wont go on about the reasturants, but you should visit them all, there all fantastic! one food that you should all try is the Kefalonian pie (gorgeous)!
If you like coctails then there are 2 places for them! one is De Veronicas (best coctail is the Volcano)! and i cant remember the name of the second but it looks like a forest from the outside (not the one that plays 80s music) and has a balcony looking out to the sea (excellent for sun set), the best coctail in there is the bananna colada!
anyway, i could bable on for ages, but hopefully that helps all you ppl that want help with things to do! if you want more info e-mail me on danidobrow@aol.com (put your subtitle as Kefalonia or i wont reply! i get a lot of junk mail so usually delet address's i dont know)!
Have fun
Dani.
P.S.Agostoli is a 2hr walk along the coastal road (very hard wrk) or 20min up the main road! best to get a taxi there the first time so that you know the easiest way (they always go by the main road)!
