We have just returned from a wonderful week at the Pelagos Bay, after a 7 hour delay getting there all the tavernas were shut. Billy made us so welcome with beers and cheese toasties! The hotel is lovely and clean and the barman Yanni is a legend with his noisy 'yammas' shouted serving every drink. The barbecue night was great, so much food and it never seemed to stop coming round, entertainment was fab too.
![]() It's a good 25 minute stroll into the town centre, works up a good appetite, and if coming back in the dark I would recommend a taxi as the road is unlit for the last 10 minutes or so and the drivers are mad!
We hired a car from the airport for the week, worked out cheaper to do that than pay for airport transfers with the tour company then hire a car for 2 or 3 days in the town as the average price for 2 days hire was 80 euros. Some beautiful beaches and places to see, can't wait to go back next year.

| We have just returned from a really relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Pelagos Bay. The hotel is one of the best we have stayed in , really clean and very well equiped, the staff friendly and really seem to enjoy looking after you! All the rooms have excellent views out to sea, the air conditioning was a real god send in the heat. As the hotel is small, around 27 rooms, you soon get to know fellow guests and there is a lovely friendly, relaxed atmosphere about the place. Kefalonia is not the cheapest of the greek islands, we did find drinks and ice creams a bit pricey here, so take plenty of cash if you go - the euro is having an affect! The location of the hotel is such that it is a good 20 min walk into main scala , which is ok at night but in heat of the day exhausting, so car hire is recomended or use local taxi at 5 euro. We were sad to leave this little gem of a place and would definitly recommned it to anyone. | |

| We have just returned from a week at the Pelagos Bay, and i can truly say its the best holiday we have ever had. Billy, Barbara and the rest of the family made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were fantastic. The pool and rooms are immaculate and the food is lovely. The BBQ was a night to remember, the food was superb and the entertainment was brillant. We met lots of friends and all said they would definitely be returning. Billy really is the best host, he genuinely cares about all his guests and will go out of his way for you to make sure you are having a nice time. I wasnt feeling too good one evening and Billy made sure that i had everything i needed and was comfortable as possible, he continued to ask how i was for the next couple of days, its not often you get this type of service!!!
My boyfriend says that Billy is a legend and believe me he is right. I cried on the way home, even after a week you feel that you are a true friend to the family and i cant wait to return. Billy, Barbara & family & staff thank you for giving us such a wonderful experience.

Went to Pelagos last year and we had the most amazing holiday. We can honestly say it was the best holiday of our lives. Pelagos Bay to us has everything, a holiday with a homely feel. The homely feel is made quite obviousI by Billy barbara Yannis and Vassoulla. Plus the rest of the family!!!! Even Billys father turned up and I got a hug from him. Truly warm and wonderful. Us Brits have got a lot to learn. There is not one aspect of the holiday hotel pool etc that we can say was only moderate it was all excellent The BBQ as others before me have said is beautiful, the food even how they make the tables flowery and pretty.Just book it and go, I bet you'll be writing a comment similar to this when you come back!!
One Problem ---------- the more I tell others about this little piece of heaven I will not be able to book in myself!!!! Linda and Robin Freestone, Nuneaton, Warwickshire

John and I have just come back from a wonderful weeks holiday at Pelagos Bay, from the moment you walk in through the door you feel you are amongst friends and very relaxed. Billy, Barbara, Yanis and Vassoula are determined that you should enjoy yourselves and you do, the hospitality is second to none Every aspect of the hotel is well cared for and clean, and anyone who has complained about the noise in the evening are either simply misguided or boring old f*rts The food is excellent, a must is the Club Sandwich, and one of the best nights you will experience is the BBQ night, food cooked by Billy and crew is excellent, but you do need an empty stomach because they don't like waste!! The evening is followed by excellent entertainment and laughs abound, but be prepared to end up in the pool, just don't go commando like my husband with his wet trousers sticking to him as he climbed back out If you want a quieter night, try an evening with Yanis to CHILL and RELAX, but be prepared to wear one of his wigs or beer goggles You meet lots of people from all walks of life, but all with one thing in common to have fun! People like Rachel and Stuart (from Saff Londan!), Tony and Carole, Tim and Julie and Dave and Amanda to name just a few, and the kind of people you hope to stay in touch with. Infact some of us are already planning a reunion, much to Billy's despair probably. John and I have already booked for 2 weeks next July and we had only been back 3 days. My only complaint is that eventually you do have to return to reality, and it feels like a penance I don't want to continue praising this fantastic place anymore, because then everyone will know and find out for themselves, and when we come to book again there will be no room at the Inn.
