Have just returned from a fantastic week at Aristomenis Studios. Steve, Eleni and Sherry were very friendly hosts and were always smiling.
The apartments were compact, clean and airy. We stayed in the block closest to the sea which had stunning coastal views and a mountainous backdrop - would recommend a ground floor apt too as there are no balcony restrictions.
Views are stunning, food is delicious, cocktails flowed very nicely(!) and the pool was the best I saw. BBQ on the Friday provided excellent food, greek dancing and a moonlit swim in the pool...a good socialising night.
Even when the pool area was busy there was plenty of room for all but at some times of day you would have the tranquillity of a solitary swim.
Pool bar at night was great to sit at and relax after dining at a taverna and the music was varied with a happy holiday volume :-))
If going for 2 weeks you may benefit from hiring a car to get about but if you just want to relax and have the odd stroll (or rather worthwhile hike!) to the beach this is perfect.
We visited here on our third night after getting a card from the girl on the beach who collect money for the use of sunbeds - as we approached with the intention of dining we did not experience the waiter coming to you in the street to tempt you in - but afterall competition is rife and a man has a living to make!
I thoroughly enjoyed my moussaka - which they now make without the pastry (a previous comment had referred to a pastry edge) and my daughter enjoyed her pizza although it was rather heavy on the cheese. Complimentary wine was suprisingly tasty.
Our favourite taverna in Lourdas. If you visit try to sit upstairs as the views are stunning. Vagelis was extremely helpful and friendly - and a big hit with my daughter! We went twice; I had the chicken with melted cheese the first time and the best moussaka the second. My daughter had the chicken marsala both times as she loved it so much. Deserts were refreshing and the starters (we had shrimp salad and tatziki) were delcious.
