Just returned from Skala 2 days ago. Dined regularly in the evening at Flamingo. Cannot fault ANYTHING with the food, service or price. T-bone steaks were to die for. When we go back will most certainly eat there. The garden area is a wonderful setting. Owner/staff could not do enough. Beware of the peppered steak - it was the finest "vindaloo" I had while we were there!
Returned home July 4, after 2 wonderful weeks. Could not find a single fault with the hotel or the staff. Nikos was OK, we think he was shy! Breakfast OK. If you wanted extras they were reduced prices for residents. Fruit with breakfast was 2 Euro as opposed to 3.50 on the main manu, and it was very good. We ate there most lunch times, and we thought the food was excellent and very good value, mousaka fantastic, salads (especially the smoked salmon) were also brilliant, and we ate there at least every other night, the swordfish was brilliant, my wife would have killed for the Silver Bream she thought it was out of this world. The only complaint was the football on TV - I cannot stand the bloody game! It was a complete wind-down and a wonderful holiday. We SHALL CERTAINLY be back to this hotel, not too long to wait, I hope. We found it very hard either in the hotel or Skala to spend more than 30 euros for an evening meal. Hercules was an excellent waiter when he got to know you. The pool was lovely and warm, it is in the sun all day long. Apartment very basic but what the hell, it was clean and much better than the last apartment we stayed in at Cyprus (Land of the Kings). The beach was just across the road, but we reckon you really need a pair of beach shoes which you can buy at the supermarkets in Skala. Don't forget to buy a phone card as the phones in the resort do not take coins. Best holiday for years!
Ate here many times during our very recent visit to Skala. Excellent food and service. The staff were brilliant, even Burt Reynolds dad!
The T-bones were excellent, my wife loved the avocado starter and the Mediterranean chicken. Beware of the peppered steak - it is more like a vindaloo! Will certainly visit here again next time.
