No, does not appear to be a "genuine" stereotypical Greek village I agree, though apparently more locals are to be found frequenting the tavernas here out of season than in many other resorts. However, more genuine people you could not wish to meet. Simply a relaxing place to stay - hire a car, take a walk, eat and drink or just sit by the sea and relax in good company (the "nightlife" - lovely). Enjoy Katelios for what it is.

One of the best existing sites about Kefalonia currently available. A wide variety of info, pictures, etc. Visitors and locals frequent the message board and are always willing to share information. Keep up the good work!

Great site! Excellent information on main site and good extras for members - supports the environment too - what more can I say. Some downloads can take a while but are generally worth it - particularly "Speak Greek".
