The Belle Marie is in an excellent location, central, but also very quiet. It is basic Greek accommodation: 2 beds, toilet/shower, and kitchenette. Kept very clean and 3 changes of linen in 2 weeks. A word of warning though - these studios are VERY hot concrete boxes with no ventilation. Fans are a must. The owner rents them, but it's 10 Euros cheaper to get them from George (Art Studios shop next to cbr car rental)in the high street.
If you're young, don't go in there until 1.00 am, spend your time in the Veto beforehand!
This is my favourite restaurant in Scala. It has a lovely setting and the food is great. you must have the prawn saganaki - best dish in town.It gets very busy so be a little patient, it's worth a bit of a wait.
Quick service, almost too quick, it felt like we were being rushed. The food was poor, very overcooked meat in bland sauces. What a disappointment!
Scala is a very pretty place and has a genuine "village" feel to it making it unspoilt and quiet. Maybe it needs a few more bars to compliment the excellent restaurants there, and maybe a "club" type place to keep closet party animals happy. The tourists are 95% British, which is a bit of a shame, it's always nice to meet new nationalities. Overall, a lovely place to relax and soak up some rays and Ouzo.
