Just returned from a very long week at Katerina. As soon as we got there we were put on separate floors,even though we had requested 2 adjacent rooms.We asked George if we could be moved but he replied that he was full-a clear lie as my husband and son were the only ones on the second floor all week.George then insulted my husband,passing offensive comments about his bald head.
 Accomodation basic to say the least.No kettle,so water took 30 minutes to boil in a pan on the electric ring.Our toilet seat was broken and the bathroom window would not open. The shower room is very dangerous, as waste water settles on the floor.Make sure you wear flip-flops when going into the bathroom,otherwise you will slip and fall,as my daughter did.
 If you are a light sleeper take earplugs.George makes so much noise in the bar at night, he will keep you awake until at least 3am.He was changing barrels at 2am regularly.
The location is ok.You must like walking! It is better to book your care hire before you go and get it dropped off at your accomodation. The bus service is rubbish! However,the walking is great and you get to see the real Greece.An hour around Svoranata to Ammes beach and back is great.Lots of wild life-birds,bats,lizards,butterflies,insects. The flowers,olive ,lemon and orange groves are gorgeous.
Thank goodness for the avithos complex on the way to avithos beach.Brand new,great pool,changing facilities for the last day.Also 3 beaches to choose from-sea beautiful,
Not a holiday for young children or people who want more to do.The Katerina is great if you want to watch sport and get drunk everynight,but then you can do that at home!

| THIS IS TO KEITH WHO IS GOING TO SVORANATA ON THE 3RD AUGUST!!!!IT IS A LOVELY QUIET RESORT AND NOT ALOT TO DO IN THE WAY OF PARTYING IN THE EVENINGS BUT!!! IF YOU GO TO THE PORTO HELIS BAR AND RESTURANT THEY HAVE A LIVE MUSIC NIGHT ON A MONDAY AND FRIDAY AND IF YOU INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO COSTA(GUS)WHOS SISTER IS THE OWNER OR GET CHATTING TO JAYNE THE BAR MADE YOU WILL BE GARANTEED SOME VERY LATE NIGHTS,LOTS OF DRINKING,LAUGHS AND GOOD CONVERSATION!!!ASK GUS ABOUT DWARF THROWING!!!!!!!!WE HAVE OUR HOUSE ON THE MARKET NOW AS WE ARE MOVING TO KEFALONIA WHEN IT GETS SOLD!SAY HI TO GUS FOR US FROM MARK AND ADELE HE WILL KNOW WHO YOU MEAN!!!ANYWAY HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY AND DONT FORGET TO HAVE A DRIVE TO MERTOS BEACH ITS FANTASTIC ANDITS IN THE TOP 12 MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACHS IN THE WORLD!!!TAKE YOUR CAMERA!!! | ||||||||||

| We did not stay at Katerina apartments but visted Georges bar a lot, esspecially when the football was on!! He is a great character, very funny and very friendly!! | ||||||||||

| We returned 27 July and found the standard of cleaniness in the apartment excellent. The location was quiet but some tavernas nearby plus a supermarket a few minutes walk away (you can exchange your travellers cheques here). To get the best from your holiday we would recommend hiring a car. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves but this location is not for people liking a noisy nightlife. | ||||||||||

| We are just back from Svoronata and were very impressed with the standard at George and Katerina's place. They, and their lovely daughter, Angelina were extremely pleasant and helpful thoughout our week long stay. We were situated on the top floor of the apartment building and found the studio very airy and charming with wood clad, coombed ceilings. Being 5mins from the airport was not a problem as the airport is not too busy. This must be the nicest, best maintained island ever! We will definately be back very soon. | ||||||||||

| We didn't stay at Katerina Studios, but were frequent visitors at George's Bar. WHAT A GRREAT PLACE!!!. We're going back to Svoronata in 2003, you can guess where our first port of call will be... George, if you have clicked on to this, we will e-mail you some time soon. The best little bar in Kefalonia.. | ||||||||||

| We stayed here last year and had a wonerful holiday, George is a character and quiet a nice guy. The first week we were in a room above the bar, I am a light sleeper and found it too noisy, we put this to George and he moved us to a bigger room at the back of the block and we never heard a sound!! Good move there George. The Olive Grove pool was brilliant we had it almost to ourselves for the entire holiday and that was in August!!! Svoronata is a very small place with not a lot going on just a couple of bars and a few eating places but it suited our needs, that was to chill out, and that we did. | ||||||||||
