We have stayed at the Yashatis Studios, once in 2004 and for the second time in August 2005, it is basic accomodation but kept exceptionally clean and tidy by the housekeeper who is very pleasant and helpful. It might not suit everyone's taste as its a good fifteen minutes walk into the main centre of Lassi but if you are able and like walking its well worth it as you follow the coastal road into the centre. I personally like Lassi but I don't know whether I would like to stay in the centre of the resort particularly , that is why I think Yashatis Studios are excellent both in location, quietness and cleanliness and we would not hesitate in recommending it. | ||||||||||

Well, my husband and I booked a holiday through an agent without checking this website first of all and then came back home and did some research. We have been worried ever since. It is one thing when you see these places in a book and then when you go there it turns out to be something completely different. I read the latest comments by Terry and am feeling a bit better. I would really appreciate it if anyone could tell me more about these studios, how far do we need to walk to do nearest beach, how busy is the place, what you would recommend and what not, and generally any info that may be useful? My trip is on 11th August, that is next month, so help if you can. Thank you all.
Regards,

Turns out it wasn't nearly as bad as expected! Firstly, the Go-Kart track is gone. It's being covered over, not sure what they're doing there and the lorries were up and down all morning, but it didn't really disturb us as it's a little way away, and we were out most days anyway.
Was a little disappointed to find we didn't have a sea view, as we were one of the lower apartments. This did mean it was a little cooler though, so no need for a fan.
The studio itself was basic, but cleaned regularly and did the job perfectly for us. We didn't cook properly so can't comment on the two hobs, but there was a kettle, fridge etc. If you use the safe don't put stuff in it first time, another couple did and couldn't get in! We tried it empty and also broke it.
On our second day we found a bottle of wine in the kitchen from the owner, a very nice touch! Would recommend this place as a base to anyone! Will also put a couple of pictures up shortly as I think there's only one.
Regards

| The studios are a long walk all up hill to the nearest shop, a good half hour walk if you are not the fittest of people. The apartments are basic with no kettle. Our sheets were not changed once during our holiday and looked as if the last holidaymakers had slept in them too. The room obviously was't cleaned before we arrived as the last couples hairbrush, old magazines hairbands etc were still lying around the apartment. The matress was paper thin, and if you are over 8 stone forget about getting a good nights sleep, the beds are the narrowest ive ever slept in and I've stayed in some dive's. However it was the best holiday i've ever been on! Kefalonia is lovely. All rooms have a sea view and the garden is lovely. There is a go cart track directly oppersite the apartments which was closed when we were there in September 2003 so can't comment on what it would be like during high season. You really do need to hire a car. | ||||||||||

| These apartments look great from the outside but sadly are lacking quality on the inside, small room, very basic kitchen, although a good balcony, fan hire is essiential as it gets very hot on a night. Be warned, the walk is 20mins on an upward slope to the centre of town, and belive me at midday it feels more like an hour, car hire is required. The opposite way along the road takes you to fanari, and the islands capital.the closest beach is 5mins walk small but not crowded. The other main beaches are a fair treck away.Lassi is a "strip" as people say, check out the bar "so simple" and for shopping the "dolpin supermarket" as the staff are helpfull and speak very good english.Do try the Go karts as they are lots of fun and be sure to visit Oskars as it is trully bizzare! Finally i would go to Kefalonia again but not to lassi, and with car hire!! | ||||||||||

| I agree pretty much with the previous entry - The apartments are in a sheltered location which means that they don't catch what little breeze there is at night so a fan is pretty much essential - Make sure that you rent it from the caretaker though or she will charge you €3 a day for the electricity to run it !! Yes it is opposite the Go-Kart track but I didn't find the noise a problem (and they do have a bar) and it is next door to Oscars too. Everywhere else is a fair walk away but we hired a car so it wasn't a problem. A good base for island exploration. | ||||||||||

| MY Wife and i stayed here for two weeks in June 2003, first impressions were good, big room, one double bed one single bed, very basic kitchen, a fan would have been a very good item in the room, as in the night it was like being in a slow roast oven, linen was only changed twice in two weeks UGH! very gritty. A car is a must here as the walk to the nearest supermarket is at least a 20min up hill walk, and in that heat every day you will soon wish you had a car. Nice Beach about 15mins up the same road very friendly and quiet and great for snorkling and safe for children. Overall a good base and we had a great holiday. | ||||||||||

| A very nice place - the rooms were spacious and clean. Limited kitchen facilities and a bit of a walk to the beach/supermarket (wouldn't recommend going back for lunch), but a pretty place right next door to the friendly taverna Oscars (see restaraunts) who will be your best friends by the end of your holiday! There's a go-kart track just opposite which can be noisy (not really good for children). Overall, very nice | ||||||||||
