 We had 2 weeks at the venia appts at the end of june going into July.We had the last but one appt at the end of the path on the ground floor. Our favorite bar was the Trentis, good prices and great staff including an Essex Girl who is hitched to the owner, and we ate in the bar owners restaurant 2 doors back down the street good food and good value. A good holiday lots to go and see and nice beaches.
If you came out of the appts and either turned right or left it brought you to a restaurant or bar and plenty of supermarkets. The beach in the pic is reached if you come out of venia turn right go down the slope through the door and follow the path under the pergola.
Sadly the airport is a shambles and desperately needs sorting out, we nearly missed our plane home because they are not able to handle the traffic, will not go back till they sort that aspect out. | ||||||||||

We have just spent a week in the Venia Apartments after booking a late deal and we were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the accomodation. The setting is lovely and has some nice grounds, complete with cats, and great views. We were in Room 3 (downstairs) and we had a large patio/seating area and views of the sea off to the right. If you set off for the beaches past the Hotel Meditaranee there is quite an incline which can be quite sapping if you leave it till it is hot, just make sure you have some water with you. On an evening we always went right out of the apartments which takes you on a flatter route and brings you out on the main street opposite the "Phaedra" restaurant. Beach Antonio is about a 10 minute walk away and Makris Yialos beach is about 15 minutes, but both never seem too far. Restaurants and bars are literally a 5 minute walk so you are never too far from anything.
The room was cleaned twice while we were there, with the maids even placing our shoes neatly, and we had fresh towels during the week. The only minor negative we had was that they did not replace the toilet roll but at 1 Euro for two rolls this was no big deal. The room had both Air Conditioning and Fans and the owner, who was a very pleasant lady, even advised us not to pay for Air Con until we had seen if the fans did a good enough job. As it turned out they did so we ended up saving a bit of money!!!
All in all a lovely place to stay and we would definitely recommend it and stay there again. | ||||||||||

| Hi all
just spent 1 week in Venia Apartments {12/19 June 05} very clean,good location for both tavernas and beaches easy walking distance into Argostoli in both directions.Will return in the future fantastic island.

| Arrived in Lassi at the beginning of Aug 03 with my 2 year old son, taking a risk on a last minute deal. Very impressed with Venia and luckily we were given studio no. 8 which was on the ground floor - a must for young children. Ceiling fan, good sized fridge, coffee maker and room cleaned every two days with fresh sheets and towels. Great beach 10 minutes walk away (5 minutes walk without a young child!) Tavernas 5-10 minutes walk. Car needed to reach the other great beaches. Agostoli 35 minute walk or 10 minutes in the car! If we go back would definitely return to the Venia accommodation. | ||||||||||

| The best appartments we stayed in! Great ceiling fan and quiet location with a big fridge. Linen was changed 3 times a week Five beaches within 10 mins walk. | Beautiful apartment,just 8 in total, we felt spoilt by two ceiling fans, regularly cleaned with new linen throughout the two weeks we stayed (even a coffee maker). Just up the road from Hotel Mediterranee, close by tavernas but still quiet. We enjoyed hot water whenever during the day and beautiful balcony with sea views. Definately recommend it. | ||||||||||

| Magnificent views, very very clean, good location, huge balcony that even had two sides, Room 5 had a comfy bed ( very odd for greece )Good sized fridge, sliding door to kitchen and 3rd bed. excellent, I highly recommend these studios to anyone and with a small 2-3 min walk to lovely sandy beach, we will be going back very soon! Perfect choice! | ||||||||||
