Room 2 : Basic but spacious apartment, up about 14 steps (more steps to upper floor apartments)
On a fairly busy corner part of the road, but soon get used to the intermittant traffic noise, appeared worst in the mornings. Very little noise from the restaurant below during our stay thoigh always appeared busy
Very reasonable balcony with a view inland across to a pool bar. Fans can be hired (needed!!) down in the restaurant
Short walk down to the beach and equally short walk to the high street and amenities.
Adequate maid service. Towels and linen changed twice in 2 weeks, bins and room tidy in between as well
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Socrates, good food and service in the restaurant and 10% off the bill! as we were staying there. Would go back anytime

9/10Fairly clean ( I did get a small amount of brown "tar" on my hands twice while sitting on the shore) and tidy beach, shelves fairly quickly, but as a 5ft 8in weak swimmer, I managed!
I wore the "sea shoes" for protection from the pebbles and stones and the water appeared warmer than usual during our stay .
The blue umbrellas and sunbeds nearer to the Poros end of the beach were 5 euros cheaper... as the others were 6 euros...but the sea was a bit harsher underfoot (fine with sea shoes, or those with less delicate soles..I'm a wuss!).
Loved the time we spent there!
