Travelled with Kosmar Holidays and they are still using BMI from East Midlands Airport. 1 hour delay going and 2 hour delay coming back!! Still had the return stop off at Lefcos and I have the feeling that we have been ripped off by Kosmar by them asking for £20 (£10 each) for pre booked seats!! No where on our tickets where we given seat numbers, but they where issued on a pro rata basis at the airport. Please don't be fooled by this con. Learnt many years ago not to go to the welcome meeting. It's just about trying to get you to buy their trips and car hire. Both available cheaper on the Island

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Nikos Studios. Probably the best room we have ever had on any of our Greek Island holidays. Fantastic views over the bay and it was a good sized room too!! Still wish the Greeks could provide a comfortable pillow, but not really a problem. Pool was excellant and plenty of sun beds. No stupid towel merchants trying to reserve the best, as they where all good and the rooms where kept clean and tidy by the friendly staff. Good bar across the way at the Olive Garden and Nico's cool beer was a life saver after the climb up the dreaded hill.
Just one note of warning. Rooms 13 and 14 in the old block are small, airless, damp and awfull. Our friends stayed in one and their clothes had mould growing on them after 2 weeks!! The Kosmar rep was more than useless in helping them to try to move to better accomodation. If you do get one of these 'cells' Complain like hell. They are not worth the money Kosmar charge, but you will be given free air conditioning to keep you quiet..
Captains Table - (Restaurants in Argostoli)

We ate here on 3 occasions and each time was excellant. This was the harbour restaurant and we did try other places in Argostoli, but none came upto their standard. This was proper Greek food (why go to Kefalonia to eat Chinese??) with pleanty of choice and all the staff were so friendly and helpfull. Free drinks and fruit usually followed and there was never a rush to move us out, even when crowded.
Our last night was made extra special by both ourselves, and our friends, being given free gifts by our favourite waiter.
Try the stuffed aubergines, stuffed peppers and their fish dishes. All excellant. Especially the aubergines!!!
