Spiros Restaurant - (Restaurants in Agia Efimia)

Ken M

the taverna is above paradise beach and the position is stuning esp at night, but we thought the food was overated and you got the feeling he was trading on his mention in the rough guide. the was a lack of fish in some of the fish dishes and his meat balls had a lot of breadcrumbs.

Finikas Restaurant - (Restaurants in Agia Efimia)

very lively when the yachties are in town and relatively noisy for ag ef. food was ok

Agia Efimia Resort - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

Ken M

Ag Efimia is a small unspoilt greek village with a couple of super markets, two bakers, and several good tavernas, the best being Stekis

Manos - (Tour Operators in Kefalonia)

Ken M  (07 August 2002)

Manos are good value for money with excellent reps, stayed at annas, good quiet position in the village, a little small but clean.

Agia Efimia Beach - (Beaches in Kefalonia)

Ken M

Ag Ef has a number of small pebble coves some of which can only be reached by boat,

Paradise Beach Restaurant - (Restaurants in Agia Efimia)

Ken M

paradise lives up to its name in the position, esp at night. But the food is not as good as some of the other places in the village, and tends to be more expensive.

Trapezaki - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

Ken M

Just arrived back from a great holiday in Trapizaki, stayed at Villa Olga with Direct greece.the Villa was fantastic, the area was wonderfully peacefull and the weather great.A car is probably a must
as the walk up the hill in the evening against the sun is a bit of a strugle

Trapezaki - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

Ken M

We went to Trapezaki in August stayed in a Villa Olga, with Direct Greece. The resort was great, very peaceful, set amongst olive groves.the villa was fantastic, I think my only moan would be that it sometimes felt like a English colony but that was the nature of the resort, as there was no village as such and the resort consisted of villa and appts set on the hillside above the beach with a couple of tavernas and supermkts. Some form of transport is a must as the walk up the hill at the end of the day against the sun is not for the fainthearted

Trapezaki - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

Ken M

We went to Trapezaki Beach Hotel last year to eat.we were staying at Villa Olga. the food was excellent, and the hotel looked very good with great sea views. The beach at Trapezaki is about 10 minutes walk away. There is a couple of reasonable tavernas up the hill from the hotel (diana's and the olive tree)and two small super mkts. It's a very peaceful resort and hiring a car is a definite advantage.

Direct Greece - (Tour Operators in Kefalonia)

Ken M  (30 March 2004)

travelled with Direct Greece Aug 2003 stayed in Trapezaki in Villa Olga.could not fault the company, and the villa was excellent with every thing from a dishwasher to a great pool. the rep was v good, and the local tavernas were also good except Dianas on greek night as the food was not as good as on non greek nights, but the fun of the evening made up for that,The only small moan was that the area was like an english colony as trapezaki is not a true village but a skatering of villa on a hillside which made it very peaceful but not very greek, we will be returning to Kef this year but we are going to back to Ag Efimia this year.for the third time.Roll on July

just back from Makriotika. Stayed at Adriana in a one bedroom house, booked through Oneira(www.oneira.co.uk)The villasge is 6km from Ag Efima and is so tranquil esp first thing in the morning. The house was brand new and well furnished and Adriana goes out of her way to make you feel at home. as usual the family at Oneira (Vangelis, Nikos, and Vicky) make you feel like one of the family.A car is an must and that was at the house awaiting us after we were mnet by Nicos at the airport and taxied us to Makriotika. we ate 3or4 evenings at the taverna in the village which was really buzzing with locals at the weekend. most other nights we ate in Ag Ef. leaving the car , and traveling down to Ag Ef by taxi (5 euros). Our fav Taverna in Ag Ef and has been for the last 4years was TO STEKI.excellent food good value and good and friendly sevice.Looking to returning next year.

To Steki Restaurant - (Restaurants in Agia Efimia)

Ken M

We ate here a number of times during our fortnight, after trying some of the other tavernas still After 4 years of going to Ag Ef found Steki the best, and as usual the food and service was excellent, the price was very good value the average bill for 4 was 32euros for food and drink. We ate a variety of meals, stuffs, the specials which were always good, steaks, pizzas the best in town, spag bol, Cala marie, and fish, etc etc. The atmoshere was great esp on live music evenings, fri and sun. The music was just right and informal and consisted of mainly traditional kefalonian songs.A lot of locals were eating which I think is always a good sign,Cant wait to get back there next year.

The average bill for 4 persons, main course. wine and drinks was 35 euros, with excellent and friendly service, great food, and the added bonus of authentic kefalonian music twice a week to add to the good atmoshere, cant wait for next summer.

you can hire bikes in ag ef from the hotel on the front, although the ride up to dendrinata is quite a climb on a push bike.the taxi fares are very reasonable probably about 3to 5 euros each way.By the way I dont think we are related, have a great time and give my regards to Vangelis and Nicos
