Katerina Studios - (Accommodation in Lassi)

Jo S

The location of these appartments was good.  Lassi has one main street with a few bars, nice restaurants and shops.  The Katerina appts are situated up one end.  They are up a steep hill, but it is only a short way from the road.  Not for people with walking problems though.  They are typically Greek - very basic.  Only stay here if you plan to eat out in the evening.  You can't really cook here!  Also, the cutlery and crockery is very bad - could just about make up one set from the bits and bobs in the drawer!

Take your own towels with you.  They only give you one towel each and nothing to step out onto when you get out of the shower, so floor gets very wet and slipery.  For a girl who needs to wrap her hair in a towel too, one is not enough!!

The only real downer - I did have a bit of a moan to the rep, is that it says that the bedding and towels should be changed twice a week.  We had been there 5 days when I complained that the bins hadn't been emptied, towels and bedding not changed and that we had to rush down the shop on the first day as we didn't have any toilet roll!

The next day 2 new towels were thrown into the room and the bins emptied, but that was it.

It was a shame, as the appts could have been so nice if they just did that bit extra.

Suzuki Jimny (4x4) - (Hire Cars in Kefalonia)

Jo S

Brilliant little car!  The roads in Kefalonia are a bit dodgy - big pot holes and bumps.  This little Jimny took them all in it's stride!

Easy to drive, it's the first time I've driven on the opposite side, but got used to it no problems.

We went right to the top of Mount Enos in it.  There is tarmac half the way up, and then it turns into a dirt track.  Just put the car in 4 wheel drive and got up there without a problem.  I really recomend doing that, the views from the top are AMAZING!  It was like an adventure!
