Liana Apartments - (Accommodation in Skala)

The brochure said basic, so what were you expecting? Clean, perfect for one good for two, I got the dreaded room two and it was not half as bad as the comments below made out. So the maid was stingy with toilet rolls? 1 euro from local supermarket, not enough towels take more, honestly, the only fault with Scala and Kefalonia in general, whinging Brits. The island is excellent, the food extensive and well prepared, go in September the weather was perfect.I have no complaints after booking a cheap holiday in good location.

Don't know if this was a marketing ploy but had the best looking waitressess in town. Burt reynolds has got older then because he now looks like Des Lynam. Very attentive but still, girls made up for it.

Island Tour by coach - (Kefalonia Excursions)

Round Island trip with Olympic was good apart from disgruntled Mancunian woman behind me.
'Seen one stalactite you've seen em all.'
'You'd think we'ed never seen winery before'
'I'm not getting off if I have to pay 3euros' (£2.10)
'I'm not going on that underground lake. it don't look safe'
Well I enjoyed it! Pity she didn't!!
Last seen she was sending back potatoes cos they weren't chips. Dear God!

Skala Resort - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

I wasn't sure what to expect, and at first I was a bit surprised how residential the small area was. I was looking for peace and quiet, and I found it. No one bothered me and the local Greek people were very friendly. I can appreciate comments that there wasn't a lot to do, but fortunately I have an imagination and a brain so I didn't have to rely on someone 'entertaining' me. Shopping was a bit touristy but I understand from a local bar owner that the whole place goes to sleep in the winter and a lot of the locals leave, so there isn't really a need for a mall!...that's not a suggestion!!
