The Sunrise has some good things going for it - the view being the main one. But *please* don't be taken in by the "generosity" of Victor - remember he's a businessman!

Avoid Sunrise at all costs. On first appearances Victor seems an amiable host, howevever his charming front hides the fact that he serves barrelled house wine in the most expensive bottle on the list and charges accordingly. The food was average and the service snivelling.

Our most visited taverna on the planet and probably the most relaxing taverna in the galaxy. So many times we hiked to the beach past the rocks, stopped off for the excellent and genuinely big beers and then lunch and then more beers, then..... Victor is a great character - as every ex New York cabbie should be - and salesman and regularly plied us with free beers - but the quality of the lunches - get the sardines whenever they're available - meant the place sells itself. We found it very quiet in the evening but day time was our regular mode. We checked out the rooms too. They looked really great but we just couldn't drag ourself away from Katelios. Tony Farson and Kath Jones.

Recommended to us by friends and we weren't disappointed. It's slightly off the beaten track - far r/h side of the beach at the end of the road. Food was always fresh - their tuna and melted cheese and ham sandwiches were very filling, the fish platter for two is just delicious, as are the sardines, stuffed tomatoes, and omelettes. Service is friendly and easy going - we spent a few lazy lunchtimes there taking a break from the sunshine.

This place or (Victors Place) was a little oasis of pleasure away from the hustle of the main street. He is a one man taverna alng with his wife Fotina and they were the most charming hosts each time you entered, and always aiming to please the customer. Super Greek food at its best, will return for sure one day.

Situated on Skala beach. Very friendly service from Victor. Squid cooked to perfection. Greek food superb. Carbonara to die for. A beautiful setting for lunch/dinner and you will be very well looked after.FRESH fish. We saw it being delivered and were actually called from the beach to choose our own lobster for the evening when the fisherman arrived!
